What sets 'Lepidota Cristata' apart is its incredibly dense texture that closely resembles curled parsley. The heavily divided fronds emerge a bright, luminous green in the spring before gradually deepening in color as the season progresses. In terms of hardiness, while the wild parent species is a rare native restricted to the southernmost coasts and islands of Finland, this selection grows with absolutely no problem across the southern half of the country(zones I-III).
